The Soul Behind The Studio
Hey, I'm Kim! As a brand and web designer, my passion lies in crafting soulful designs tailored to wedding photographers, mindful entrepreneurs, and conscious lifestyle brands. My journey into the world of design and code began with a childhood fascination for digital media, evolving into over a decade of professional experience backed by two degrees—one in design + web development and another in online marketing.
I still remember the rush of excitement when I first launched my design business. The thrill of endless possibilities and the sheer passion I poured into every project—it was pure magic!
As a fellow small business owner (and perfectionist, overthinker and adhd brain – hello!) I’ve walked in your shoes. I know how it feels to wear too many hats at once and sometimes lose sight of the joy that sparked your entrepreneurial journey in the first place. But I’ve also experienced firsthand the transformative power of seeking help from professionals. It’s what reignited my passion and allowed me to focus on the aspects of my business I am most passionate about—and I want that for you, too!

1990
Growing up with Tamagotchis and “Adventures of the Gummi Bears” – I guess you could say I’m a 90’s kid all the way! Fun fact for my fellow nerds: My first own computer was the iconic, bubble-shaped turquoise iMac G3. I was the happiest kid when I got it from my Dad and could start experimenting with websites and design programs!

I’ve had a passion for design and digital media since forever and knew what job I wanted to do pretty much in preschool, so I started my professional training as a media designer right after Highschool. It really took my parents all of their willpower to stop me from dropping out early haha – sorry mom & dad! I have been a freelance designer and web developer ever since!

While working on various projects with different agencies and brands, I pursued a deeper understanding of marketing, earning a B.Sc. in 2018. After diving headfirst into the agency life, I found myself drowning in the fast-paced, materialistic world of advertising. With hardly a moment to spare for myself, I realized this wasn't the life I wanted. Long story short: I walked away, realizing my freedom was worth more than any salary. Since then, I've embraced the path of self-employment, and I’ve never looked back!

If you're into personality types: I’m a 4/6 Reflector and an INFP-T Mediator—I’m introverted, free-spirited, and highly sensitive. I’m filled with a million ideas and a hunger for exploration and freedom and sometimes, choosing just one path in life feels impossible.

Here's to being a forever beginner surfer, relishing those sunny summer days and mellow baby waves with friends! While surfing may not be about huge barrels for me, the happiness it brings is unmatched!

Happily married to my soulmate, with a furry addition to the family— our Romanian rescue pup, Kenyo. He's the Head of Cuddles and Mental Health at our design studio and makes sure we get our daily dose of fresh air and steps in!

When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me running around with my camera, catching waves, hitting the gym, or on the yoga mat.

Sipping oat cappuccinos while watching the waves is my happy place! Well, until the caffeine anxiety kicks in haha (please tell me i’m not the only one?)

Fun fact: Whales and sharks are my ultimate obsession. If I had grown up near the ocean, I would probably be a marine biologist now.

Realizing I had ADHD in my late twenties was a game-changer—it shed light on so many aspects of my life and personality! (Turns out, I'm not lazy at all; I just lose interest in repetitive tasks and routines quickly. But, on the flip side, I'm also incredibly enthusiastic, passionate and ambitious when it comes to new projects and skills!)

The Big Bang Theory is my ultimate comfort show. Seriously, I've lost count of how many times I've watched every season!

Despite being born in Germany, I am thriving in sunny weather and tropical temperatures. This led me to make Portugal my home in 2021—a compromise between my love for warm climates and staying close to family!
